Encuentros Economía Circular – Cadena SER
``Entrepreneurship and new business models based on circular economy`` is the topic of this new edition of the Radio Station: Cadena SER Euskadi meeting, celebrated on 19 September at the European Conference Palace of Vitoria-Gasteiz which was attended by numerous people from the business and institutional community.
This was the second occasion on which this radio station has focused this debate forum on the circular economy. After the success of the summons last year, on this occasion, the Meetings analysed the specific advantages contributed by the companies which invest in the circular economy.
At present according to data from IHOBE, the Euskadi industrial sector consumes 21 million tons of raw materials a year, which generates 72% of the waste, of which 42% ends up in the landfill. The transition of our productive network towards a circular model consequently offers major opportunities for Basque firms, starting with their positioning and differentiation.
Jon Kepa Izaguirre, the Quality and R&D+i Manager of A&B Laboratorios participated in the forum, together with other major leaders such as Guadalupe García, Entrepreneurship Manager at Climate-KIC Spain; Ignacio Quintana, Coordinator of the Eco-Efficiency and Eco-Design Unit of IHOBE, the Public Environmental Management Corporation of the Basque Government, Kristina Apiñaniz, the General Manager of ACLIMA; Álvaro Vázquez, Marketing Manager of ABB and Eduardo Uribesalgo, R&D Manager of the Ternua group.
“The circular economy offers major benefits to companies and the planet”.
